Donate Your Extra Halloween Candy

This Halloween we want to help Brandon's Forever Home "ensure children in foster care are not the "forgotten ones."" Parents may wonder what to do with all of the Halloween candy their kids will bring home after trick-or-treating. Most parents help eat it, throw it in the trash, or take it with them to their place of employment. The students at Mountain Valley Family Martial Arts have a better idea for getting rid of your excess holiday candy: Donate it!

To do this, Sensei Nevin Baskin and his students are holding a Halloween Candy Donation Drive from October 28 to November 8 at their karate school, located in the Church Hill Mall in Hazleton. People can bring their leftover candy to the dojo and the candy will be taken to Brandon's Forever Home on Saturday, November 10th.

The Halloween candy donated by the community will go to Brandon's Forever Home (BFH) in Hazleton. BFH does so many wonderful things for our community and we believe in supporting them. For more information on Brandon's Forever Home, visit them at
